Each Wednesday at 9.30am this social event commences and generally attracts many players of various bowling capabilities. Last week the 'experienced' selectors did their best to put together 10 teams of evenly matched bowling experience, however it certainly did not eventuate as the high scores resulted in big wins for three of the five rinks.

Phill Malone and his partner Graeme Mansfield had a field day against Jim Gillogly and Tim Richardson with a +18 victory and naturally won the event. Steve Knott led his crew of Dick Connell and George Sinclair to a huge +17 win against Greg Bartlett, Snow Trenchard and Justin Costa.
John Black, Barry Kershaw and Winston Lattimore also had a +17 win against Brian Williams, Eric Weir and Allan Dodd. It just so happened in this game that Brian was instrumental of giving his opponents eight shots on the ninth end.
In more competitive games Dally Hammond, Col Hinton and Warren Smith got up by two shots against Peter Holden, Kev Coles and Mick Hollebone and the same difference in the game between Ben Wolters and Tony Baker against Glen Dennes and Glenn Gilford.
VERY IMPORTANT
This Saturday (August 18) at 11am the bowls AGM is to be conducted and at the time of going to press a number of positions are yet to be filled. So please consider the future of bowls and our club and keep us 'alive'.
Next Sunday at 9.30am the mixed pairs commence.
