Essential Energy has kicked off aerial inspections in Taree and nearby areas as they work to identify faults or potential problems not visible from the ground.
Inspections began Monday, July 9 and are set to end on Tuesday, August 21.
Essential Energy’s North Coast acting regional manager Ross Berry said inspections capture a snapshot of the condition of its electricity network.
“Helicopter inspections will continue through to the end of August and will be used to identify damaged or deteriorating network assets including pole top condition of power poles,” Mr Berry said.
He added that owners of sensitive animals should advise the company by completing an online request form or by calling 13 23 91. This will ensure alternative arrangements are made. If network issues are detected during inspections, crews will undertake any necessary repairs.
