Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead was happy to provide MidCoast Council mayor David West with a briefing on funding allocations after the issue was raised at this week’s council meeting.
MidCoast mayor Councillor David West said: “This is a great outcome for MidCoast Council, our libraries perform a key role across the region providing a meeting and learning place, with over 387,000 visits over the last year.”
“Myall Lakes MP Stephen Bromhead has recently secured $200,000 funding for our new Forster library space and $70,000 for Wingham library heritage works,” Cr West said
“I look forward to working with MidCoast Council on options available to enhance library services across the Myall Lakes and will continue to support the important role libraries play across the community,” Mr Bromhead said.
