The Tigers share equal second place with Wauchope, but sit in third on averages. Russell said Wingham let a chance slip to take the points from Wauchope last week when they led deep into the second half. However, a late flurry from the Blues saw the match end in a 16-16 draw.
“That was a scrappy game, but sides had trouble handling the ball,’’ Russell said.
“We can't afford to do that this weekend.’’
Hard working prop/second rower Michael Rees will miss at least one game with a back injury. However, Joel Kleindienst is free of work commitments. Kleindienst usually starts off the bench, however, Russell said he may be in the run-on side tomorrow.
