Wingham High School’s Grace Coleman was one of eight girls from the Manning on the Hunter Region team that won the NSW Combined High Schools Open Hockey Championships at Cronulla in Sydney this week.

This was Hunter’s fourth successive win in the event.
Tahni Walters, Lara Watts, Bree Pensini, Kalani Cross, Makayla Manusu, Jordan Moscatt (Taree High School), Priya Bourke (Chatham High) and Grace Coleman (Wingham High) were in the victorious Hunter team that defeated Sydney East 3-2 in the final.
Hunter suffered 1-0 loss to Sydney South West in the opening game of the campaign before scoring a 1-0 win over Western.
From there Hunter accounted for North West 7-0 and North Coast 2-1 before downing Sydney East in a closely contested decider.
Tahni Walters was named as a shadow reserve for the NSW Combined High Schools State open team.
