Almost eight weeks after competition started, the Taree and District Eisteddfod will wrap up this weekend with the grand concert.

To be held at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Saturday June 16 at 7.30pm, the concert celebrates and showcases a selection of 2018’s talented winners.

Thousands of performers have taken to the stage since the eisteddfod began on April 24, covering the categories of vocal, piano, dance, speech and drama, instrumental/electric and choirs.

It promises to be an entertaining evening and there’s even a hint of a very special finish that will leave audience members smiling.

Among the highlights will be the presentation of the Roma Liggins Perpetual Scholarship, which will go to one of the performers.
