Vivienne says around 200 people visited the fair at Taree PCYC on Sunday, June 10.
“It was our first fair, we didn’t know what to expect but the result exceeded our expectations in many ways.
“We didn’t get as many people as we would have liked but what was clear from the comments of our stallholders was that the visitors were the right people. So many commented that they had never had such a lovely group of people, it was really enjoyable.”
Around 30 stallholders set up in Taree PCYC between 9am and 3pm to display and sell handmade products including stained glass, paintings, pottery, jewellery, photography, metal sculptures, wood turning, beauty products, books, produce and recycled items.
Taree PCYC sponsored the event by providing the venue free of charge, with Vivienne revealing that the fair was able to raise around $300 for the club with its raffle ticket sales.
Vivienne says Wingham Spinners and Craft will seek to organise another fair next year, around the same time as part of the 2019 Manning Winter Festival, but its name will be different.
“Next year it will be called, Manning Made – Your Valley, Your Passions.”
