It was delightful to see so many seniors – a packed house - enjoying themselves.
There was tea and coffee available and delicious snacks. A sausage sizzle lunch was provided.
The art exhibition was impressive and the seniors were privileged to have such talented people in our area. Entertainment was provided by accordion player Bob Smith, followed by an informative presentation by Alison Fowles from Dementia Australia.
The white elephant stall, stacked with many bargains, was well patronised. Some guests managed to play Hoy, in spite of the noise generated by all the talking.
A presentation was made to Barbara Moore, having been selected as Manning Valley Senior Citizen of the Year, a well deserved award. Barbara is a member of the Ormsby House Seniors and volunteers for the seniors’ monthly lunch meeting, as well as being involved with the running of Tai-Chi each Tuesday morning
Manning Valley Senior Citizens Committee members were thanked for their efforts for the year.
A great day was had by all.
Ormsby House is for all seniors in the Manning Valley, for carpet bowls, tai chi and card playing, also we have an artist group. You are welcome to come join in.
