It was a 5.30pm kick off in cold, wet, windy conditions.
The Tigers started well with a try in the first minute to Tyler Atkins for a 4-0 lead.
It was a tight contest in trying conditions.
Five minutes before half time, Lonny Clarke was put in some space down the right side to cross the line and run around under the posts. With Michael Bailey's conversion, Wingham led 10-0.
Just on the break, Brodie Myer was concussed following a cheap shot from a Hawks player, and was helped off the field by the trainers and unable to return.
It took a quarter of an hour into the second stanza before Danny Price was in for a try, with Michael Bailey adding the extra points.
A couple of minutes later, man of the match, Mitch Collins scored following a break by Lonny Clarke. Again Michael Bailey's kick was successful, and the score had blown out to 22-0.
Soon after, a favourable bounce from a bomb saw Danny Price score his second try. Michael Bailey made the score 28-0 with the conversion.
Five minutes before full time, Nick Beacham was awarded a try even though there seemed to be a knock on during the play.
Right on the final siren, Lonny Clarke scored in the corner making the final score 36-0 in a game where the score did not indicate the toughness of the contest.

Reserve Grade
The Reserve Grade game was also a torrid encounter in trying conditions.
The only score in the first half came just before the break when Adam Kerr cut through the defence to score near the posts. He converted his own try for a 6-0 advantage.
Ten minutes from full time, a kick from Garyn Burnes bounced into Cecil Bungie's hands and he ran away to score under the posts. Adam Kerr added the extra points.
Just before the final siren, Corey Sheehan sealed the victory with a try. Adam Kerr's kick made the final score 18-0.

League Tag
After consecutive wins, the Wingham Tigers Ladies League Tag team were brought down by the strong Hawks team.
Two converted tries to the home team, and a penalty goal, made the half time score 14-0.
A second half try, and another penalty goal made the final score 22-0.
Next weekend, with the Queen's Birthday holiday, there will be no Group 3 Rugby League games. On Sunday June 17, the Tigers play Wauchope at the Wingham Sporting Complex.
