The annual Wingham CWA shortbread baking competition is a much loved staple of Bonnie Wingham and CWA president Marcia Gilligan is hoping to see new entrants this year.

Held at the CWA building in Isabella Street on Friday June 1, the competition is open to anyone keen to prove their shortbread is the best.

Children are particularly encouraged to enter.

All children entering get a ribbon with either the chance to get a first, second or third placing or an encouragement award.

The competition will be judged once again by RAS judge Jac Hyde of Wingham CWA.

Once judging is finished the CWA doors will swing open and the shortbread will be for sale.
