HUNDREDS of people are expected to gather in Wingham on the morning of Wednesday, April 25 for the dawn and main Anzac Day services to mark the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915.

They will also be there to pay tribute to, and remember, all Australians who served and died in war or during service.
Community groups, school children and returned service personnel will muster at 9.15am outside Wingham Memorial Services Club for the main march to the Wingham Memorial Town Hall.
Services
Sunday April 22
- 9am Anzac Church Service, Uniting Church, Farquhar Street Wingham. All denominational service conducted by Rev Darrell MacKeough and Eric Richardson OAM, followed by morning tea and fellowship. All welcome.
Tuesday April 24
- 4.30pm War Graves Anzac Service at Wingham Cemetery. Service to remember those who have fallen in all wars and conflicts.

Australian flags of remembrance and sprigs of rosemary will be available from 3pm for those wishing to place the flag in remembrance on a loved one’s grave site.
All very welcome to attend this solemn service completing at sunset.
Dawn Service
Wednesday, April 25
- 5am Muster corner of Isabella and Queen Streets
- 5.25am Short march to Wingham Memorial Town Hall
- 5.30am Dawn Service at cenotaph.

On completion (approximately 6am) there will be the Gun Fire Breakfast at Wingham Services Club.
Main march and Anzac Service
The main march will be from Bent Street to Wingham Memorial Town Hall.
Parade Marshalls are Glen Gilford, Brian Willey and Ron Irwin.
- 9.15am Assemble in Bent Street outside Wingham Services Club
- 9.45am Parade to commence and march to the Wingham Memorial Town Hall via Bent and Farquhar Streets. The Manning Valley Pipes and Drums Band will lead the march gathering outside the Wingham Memorial Town Hall for the wreath laying ceremony and the 2018 Anzac Commemorative Service.

- Anzac address: Wingham High School captain Paige Webster.

Anzac Day service will be completed at about 11.15am
On completion there will be a Diggers Lunch at Wingham Memorial Services Club.

Notes from the RSL
All welcome at any of the 2018 Anzac services being held in Wingham.
Be prepared: There is limited seating at the venues so please be prepared to bring some seating, umbrellas for sun/rain and water to sustain yourself and especially for children.
Wet weather: In the case of inclement weather the Dawn and Anzac Service will be conducted in the Wingham Memorial Town Hall.
Special note: Ex service personnel are asked to attend and take part in all events and wear dress jackets and medals. For those wearing medals for another these are worn on the right side and your own on the left side.
Acknowledgement: The Wingham RSL Sub-branch thanks all those who have assisted to arrange this day, they will acknowledge them in due course.
Special invitation
The Wingham RSL Sub-branch has issued a special invitation to all locals schools to participate in the Wingham Anzac march and service on April 25.
Schools are asked to muster at 9.15am by the Big Log near Anzac Place on the corner of Bent and Farquhar Streets opposite the Wingham Museum.
March will commence at 9.45am.
