Laurie Mullen and Col Watson also go into the semis with their 28-14 win over Rex Dawson and Chris Kane. Rex did have a chance when he led 8-4 early but his opponents then picked up 14 shots to keep the lead.
George Floyd and Peter Tindall eliminated Howard Snelson and Graeme Mansfield 33-23 which was played on rink one with many onlookers as they were the last to finalise the afternoons games.
The remaining game was between Dallas and Mark Hammond against Jake Hinton and Patrick Payton with the Hammonds progressing with a 24-18 win. However Jake and Pat were ahead by four shots on the 16th end with the Hammonds then adding 11 shots in the following ends to ensure victory.
