Golden Guitar Winner Amber Lawrence will be performing her “Kids Gone Country” album as part of the fantastic line-up of entertainment on Friday night at the Wauchope Show.
Amber will also be performing the National Anthem at the grand parade and official opening on Saturday at 2.30pm. She will also sing a selection of her favorite songs at the conclusion of the official opening.
“We can't wait to have Amber perform at the show,” said Wauchope Show Society entertainment co-ordinator, Andrew Carroll.
“It’s really exciting to have her as part of our fantastic entertainment lineup. We couldn’t do it without the support from sponsors like Harcourts Greater Port Macquarie, Wauchope RSL Club and Warren Plowright Toyota.”
And there’s more. Roll up, roll up…the New Rooftop Express Wild West Arena Spectacular is to headline at the Wauchope Show.
After runaway success around Australia, the Rooftop Show is bringing the Heroes of the Outback back to Wauchope Show with some highly refined and visually enchanting stunts and moments that will take horse play and cattle mustering to a new level.
The show is a first class arena spectacular that features world-first stunts, true blue Australian comedy and awe-inspiring horsemanship. Its lovable bush characters and amusing story line encourages crowd participation and family fun.
With some never-before-seen stunts in the new show, it is a must see for anyone who ever wanted to put on a cowboy hat.
Anthony Cootes has performed in numerous shows around Australia including a residency at Warner Village Theme Parks.
David Manchon has entertained crowds across Australia with his exciting horsemanship and is widely recognised as one of the rising stars of the horse industry. David was a lead performer at the Australian Outback Spectacular and has worked as a presenter for Network 10’s Totally Wild and Toasted TV.
“The Rooftop Show pays homage to our primary industries and shows how the bush will continue to prosper in today’s modern Australia. My team brings a keen originality and a refined experience of performance only able to be conveyed to audiences through firsthand experience of the outback and its characters, animals and way of life,” said Dave.
“I look forward bringing this world-class production to the Wauchope Show,” he added.
History will come alive at this year’s Wauchope Show where John Jewell, owner of “Australia's Living History”, will be one of the major attractions.
“It’s our challenge to preserve Australia’s early history and we strive to keep alive the little known facts of how we lived in the early 1800’s,” he said.
John and his wife Mary travel this vast country showing, demonstrating and telling our history in the form of stories all the wonderful things they have learnt, so that others may also learn and maybe take up this challenge.
“This award winning attraction is for all ages” said Wauchope Show Society President Neil Coombes,
“Australia's Living History will be performing both days of the Show and we urge everyone to take the time to see this fascinating display and wonderful performances”.
Just some of the old crafts and trades John and Mary will demonstrate are rope making, butter churning, the 3,000-year-old trade of wood turning on a pole lathe, the use of a shave horse and draw knife, plus a complete Old Timers Bush Camp.
