A record number of juniors have turned out for the beef events today (Friday, March 16) including competitors from the Gloucester High School Show Team and other schools from around the region.
The show ring hosted the ASH competition with riders choosing which events to take part in throughout the morning.
Judging of the pavilions entries has already been completed and the winners have received tags on their creations marking their placement.
There’s lots of activity around the showground as everyone gets prepared for the Friday night events with the Rooftop Express at 6pm and the crowd favourite bull riding event kicking off at 6:30pm.
Saturday (March 17) will see a full day of events starting from 7:30am with more competition judging including cattle and poultry.
There will be a woodchopping competition, circus workshops, a pony club musical ride, a whip cracking competition, a kids farm challenge, a ute pull and a smash up derby with a fireworks display filling the sky before the Bowden Brothers take to the stage marking the end of the show for another year.
