The two girls, Shari Urquhart and Stephanie Davis-Stone, have been working together since October 2017 patiently recording data concerning six Hyline commercial laying birds.
They developed a PowerPoint presentation displaying their data and recording visually the development of the birds.
Three birds have been selected and, along with their data, will be off to the Royal Easter Show in Sydney for the final part of the competition on Tuesday, March 20.
“Thank you goes out to Mr David Hopkins, a local poultry enthusiast, who will transport the birds to Sydney and back for the students,” agriculture/science teacher, John Hawkins said.
Best of luck girls after many months of tedious work on top of your own school/life commitments.
