ALL eyes were on the Wingham Show main arena on Saturday afternoon when the demolition derby came to town.
Huge crowds have cheered drivers in the past with each year at the Wingham Show claiming to be the best demolition derby Wingham has ever seen.
This year’s derby didn’t dissapoint.
The derby attracted some of the best drivers in the State who went bonnet to bumper for some heavy “smashin.”
The open derby attracts more than 15 drivers – both male and female - who simply attempt to smash their way around until only one car remains running.
It’s not so much a race but survival of the fittest.
Cars are purpose built and organisers say there were some very well built, fast vehicles this year.
