On Wednesday January 17 the vets had a field of 43 playing in a stableford event. The winner was Jim Bradshaw with 40 pts. Next was Phil Anderson 39, Dave Elliott 38. The nearest the pin on the 3rd/12th was won by Simon Lemon, and on the 7th/16th Syd Gilfillan.
The Wednesday ambrose had 45 starters and the winners were Moores – Danien Moore, followed by U Hate Us – Pat Whiteley, Below Par – Lesley Steel, Bunker Boys – Jamie Berry, Stones Plumbing – Shane Sweeney. Chris Shaw won the NTP on the third and Brendon Boyd won the port.
On Thursday January 18 there were 47 starters in the LJ Hooker Chook Run. The winners were Jim Clarke 26 pts, followed by Richard Clark with a par round for 23 pts, Robyn Dudgeon 22, Graham Mansfield 21c/b, Garry Masters 21c/b, Franz Schubert 21, Grant Gutterson 20c/b, Tim Smith 20c/b edging out Nev Blanch. NTP winners on the third were Kris Mudford and on the seventh Graham Mansfield. The leader in the LJ Hooker umbrella is Nev Blanch, so come on. we cant have that.
The ladies on Friday January 19 played a stableford event. The winner was Connie Gates 22c/b from Sue McKenna. Ball winners were Noelene Nelson, Pat Whiteley.
On Saturday January 20 a stableford was played for the EZGO Golf Carts Trophy. The winner was Bill Osborne 41 pts; he won a pair of golf shoes for his effort. Next was Richard Dudgeon 39c/b, Brian Haynes, Chris Schubert 39, Geoff Swaffield 37. There was a different NTP implemented for the 3rd/12 called the Pro Shot $2 in winner take all. The winner was, guess who, Paul Muir. The other winners were on the 1st/10th Wingham Plaza Butchers Brendan Reeve, who also picked up the 4th/13th; Bob Siecker won the Bayview Seafood on the 7th/16th; and Chris Schubert put a shot 24 centimetres from the pin on the 9th/18th to win the Bent on Food voucher.
