The NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards recognises and celebrates the positive achievements of young individuals in NSW and ACT communities.
Isaiah has just started in year 12 and is hoping to complete his HSC and go on to study mathematics at university.
He said one of his main achievements over the last 12 months has been winning the Aboriginal Education Award in the local area for Academic Excellence.

For the past few years he has represented Wingham High School in chess and is said to be the schools’ top ranked chess player.
In 2017 he participated in the Country Secondary Schools Chess Teams Competition.
