We played pennant trials and social bowls. Results of trial teams is as follows: L. Burnell-Jones, P. Marcus, C. O’Donnell, D. Matheson - 18 defeated J. Duncan, C. Willey, A. Burns, L. Gilford – 10.

In a game of triples M. Hollebone, N. Sandford, L. Dennes 18 defeated M. Hollebone, T. Rushworth, E. Holden – 15. J. Pedron, M. Walsh, G. Bell – 16 defeated J. Nash, J. Stewart, D. Polley – 15.

Winners with largest margin were L. Burnell-Jones, P. Marcus, C. O’Donnell, D. Matheson – W+8. 

Presentation night

On Saturday,  December 2 the Wingham Bowling Club held a combined presentation night for both men and ladies bowls’ members. What a night it was - my camera doesn’t lie as to some of the photo’s taken – all in good fun of course!

To all the winners and runners up of championships – congratulations. To all the members who attended – we say thank-you for making the night special to all those concerned. Also, thank-you to our caterers who presented our beautiful fresh meals and nibbles.

Final reminder with a week to go - lady bowlers please scout in your cupboards for some unwanted items that could be used for our yearly Dutch auction to be held at our Christmas party on Thursday, December 14. Bowls will commence at 9.30am.
