Blue Mountains made it a double by taking out the men’s final 12-7 from UNE. Manning men were beaten in the ‘cans’ final.
A total of seven sides contested the mug, with four in the men and three in the women’s division. UNE were the defending champions in the men’s grade and Easts in the women.
Kate Donaldson and Aaron Atkins were Manning’s outstanding players throughout the tournament.
Manning water polo spokesman Josh Whyte-Butler said he expects the mug to be held at the same time next year, even though numbers were down last weekend.
He confirmed that Wingham will again be the venue, the competition’s traditional venue.
The tournament has a history stretching back nearly 30 years.
