The decision was, good to look at and comfortable for weary legs!
The CWA applauds the efforts to enhance the town and make it people friendly.
A year of hard work, to improve the lives of others, has allowed the members to decide to have a combined handicraft and Christmas party, and have it catered for.
What a change for these ever busy members to sit in comfort, enjoy their meat and not have to wash up the dishes. It is a first, but well deserved relaxation.
It will soon be time to distribute teh $300 clothing vouchers to meritorious students in transition from primary to high school.
One student from each of the three primary schools is selected and the CWA is proud to be able to give this support in the local community.
Wingham cooks were well represented in the Land Cookery juding at Macksville last week. All entries were of a very high standard, several minor awards were received but only Vivienne Beaumont’s rhubarb jam took a first.
The new year will provide new studies, expanding stimulation, new friendships and lots of fun. Needy causes will be dealt with as needed and service women and children will be at the front of all the endeavours.
