Mixed Fours final
Ian Furner, Snow Trenchard, Margaret Hinton and Maureen Hollebone led 3-1 after three ends against Peter and Elaine Holden playing with Laurie Mullen and Dianne Lewis. Disaster then struck Ian's team and they then lost the following seven ends to be down and out with the score being 19-3 against them. That was half way through the game with onlookers believing that it was all over with the very likely winners being Peter and his outfit. With three ends to conclude the game it was a different situation with Ian's team clawing back to be within three shots of the leaders. On the 19th end Peter's team picked up a valuable three shots to then hang on to the lead and eventually got the title with the final score being 23-21.

Wednesday – 'Dad's Army'
John Black, Ben Wolters and Glenn Gilford won the event with their +18 over Dally Hammond, Tim Baker and Snow Trenchard. Greg Bartlett and Barry Kershaw finished with a +9 against Jim Gillogly and Tim Richardson. Brian Williams, Dennis Rolfe and Allan Dodd got a +5 result over Peter Williams, Ray McNeill and Allan as swinging lead.
Wednesday Twilight
Ian Furner, Cliff Bush and Brendon Reeve took home the spoils by defeating Tony Lowman, Peter Howarth and Tony Colchen 15-9. Peter Kriss, Ben Carney and Greg Hile had a five shot win against John Gillogly, Neil Greenaway and Matt Harris.

A sponsored fours event is scheduled and additional teams are required.
There is also a very important bowls meeting coming up and additional players are required for the 2018 pennant teams from our club.
