Sponsored by Yvette’s Raw Kitchen, the champions for the mixed pairs for 2017 are Graeme Ireland and Alana Burns and they took the title by defeating Dallas Hammond and Elaine Holden 25-19.

The match was interrupted by hot weather on September 24 after nine ends with Dally and Elaine then leading by three shots. It was then a turn-a-round with Graeme and Alana picking up five shots on the next end to take the lead and jump to a six shot lead on the 14th end. They maintained that lead to take the game and the championship event.
Mixed Fours
On Sunday Chris Kane as skip ensured his team of Chris Willey, Glenn and Leonie Gilford progressed to the next round when they outplayed Glen and Laurelle Dennes playing with Jim Gillogly and Alana Burns. Chris ensured the win by playing superlative draw bowls and his team restricted the opposition to win only six ends of the 20 ends with the final score being 23-11.
Tom Moore, Lee Knight and the Burnell-Jones’s found the going tough for the early part of the game against Graeme Ireland, Paul Swan, Pat Marcus and Jo Duncan due to being a player short for a period and were down by 10 shots on the fifth end. Tom and his crew did come back to get within four shots of his opposition, however the final result went to Graeme’s team 22-16.
Saturday Turn-a-round open triples
Saturday Turn-a-round Open Triples attracted 14 teams including some visitors from Manning Point and Harrington. Taking home the big money were Rex Dawson, Terry Rowe and P. Griffiths with 44 points, closely followed by Dallas Hammond, Graeme Mansfield and Peter Holden with 43 points. Coming in with 36 points were Greg Bartlett, Robert Allen and Bob Hardy.
Wednesday Social
With a big +16 win were Greg Bartlett, Dennis Rolfe and visitor Rob Srnouet against Jack Pie, Tony Baker and Allan Dodd.
