Minor Singles final October 5
The final of the Minor Singles was played in clear dry conditions. Result was Lorraine Rothe defeated Denise Polley 25/18. Denise has not played regularly this year whereas Lorraine has played regularly through out. Lorraine was consistent – notching up the all-important one-pointers. When counting the ends, Lorraine won 15 ends for the win. Denise, better luck next year. Congratulations to both players on their good sportsmanship.

Social Bowls
We played for the same this week in one game of pairs and one of triples.
Pairs game: Alana Burns, Chris Willey – 20 defeated Pat Marcus, Joanne Duncan – 17.
Triples game: Margaret Hinton (skip), June Pedron, Coral Lockrey – 18 defeated Laurelle Dennes (skip), Maureen Hollebone, Mavis Walsh – 12.
Lucky Winner: with smallest margin – A. Burns, C. Willey.
This week
This week is Social Bowls and draw for the Consistency event. Come on ladies, enter your name for this popular event. Bowls will commence at 9.30am.
Special mention
It is with great sadness that I report on the passing of fellow bowler, Joan Warby, who was a popular skip over many years with Wingham Ladies Bowling Club. Sadly missed by many. Rest in Peace, Joan.
