Chatham will meet Tigers in the division one men’s match with Wingham and Sharks to clash in division one women.
Finals were played in warm weather that made made conditions rather uncomfortable, especially for those teams that had to play extra time.
The under 15s started the day with Chatham bowing out to Sharks in the boys while in the it was great to see an amalgamated team between Chatham and Taree West come out on top. They will now meet a very strong Sharks side in the grand-final.
In under 11s mixed Wingham downed a great little Chatham side. They’ll now meet Taree West this weekend in the grand final.
In the division three Town women had a slow start and were always pushed by a determined Tigers. Town won through on the night and will now head to the grand final. The men was also a great game and Sharks spirit overcame a valiant Cougars.
Division two and one were played in the heat of Saturday afternoon. The division two women saw the other Town team reach the grand final. Wingham tried hard but unable to break through Town’s solid defence.
Division two men was a physical affair with Taree West coming out on top over Wingham, with a close win 2-1 in a very entertaining game.
The women’s division 1 was a very tight game that went into extra time. This was a great game and if the eventual winners, Sharks, take the same intensity into the grand final against Wingham, it will be a great game.
In the last game, division one men, Tigers came out victorious in the highest scoring game of the finals, beating Sharks 4-3.
Grand finals start on Friday night at 6.30 with the division three women featuring Taree West and Town, then followed by the division three men between Chatham and Sharks.
Saturday starts at 9am with division 2 boys between Sharks and Tigers, then the division two girls between Sharks and Chatham/Taree West.
The morning will be completed with the under 11 mixed where Wingham meets Taree West.
The program continues from 1.30 with the division 2 women between Sharks and Town, followed by division two men where Chatham tackles Taree West at 3pm.
Wingham and Sharks clash in division one women at 4.30, with the men’s division one decider between Chatham and Tigers and set down for 6pm.
