A steady stream of budding cricketers turned up and put their names down, with under 10, under 12, under 14 and under 16 teams taking form.
Club president, Dennis Smith, was very happy with the turnout at this early stage of the season as he realises people are still be recovering from the hangover of the winter season sports.
The first game starts on October 14 with sides being nominated by the end of September. Those still wishing to register can contact club registrar, Sarah Taylor, on winghamjcc@gmail.com or get in contact via the Wingham Junior Cricket Club Facebook.
With new junior formats beginning this season, cricket is a great sport to get kids outside on the weekend and interact in a healthy team environment. The club caters for boys and girls of any age or ability. Guaranteed fun!
