Bravissimo showcases excellence achieved in music by students in the 2016 Higher School Certificate (HSC).
The students attended State, Catholic and private schools from the Mid North and Tablelands regions, stretching from Wingham, Gloucester and Forster, west to Armidale and Tamworth and north to Coffs Harbour.
Caitlyn sang one of her HSC performance songs, 'Papa Can You Hear Me' by Michel Legrand, made famous by Barbara Streisand in the film "Yentl".
Caitlyn was nominated for Bravissimo 2017 by Wingham High School music teacher, Mrs Stacey Harrell, who also nominated her for the High School Honors Performance Series being held at Sydney Opera House in July.
Honors Performance is an international program and selected finalists spend six days in Sydney, where they study under master conductors and make acquaintances with accomplished musicians from around the world.
After submitting audition recordings last year, Caitlyn received notification confirming her inclusion.
The week long program culminates in a concert performance at the Opera House on July 10.
