This year Holiday Coast Credit Union celebrates 50 years of serving the Mid North Coast community.
In Wingham the friendly team are on hand to continue to help people manage, save, grow and protect their personal finances.
Since their move in 2015 to the Wingham Plaza interest from new customers has risen dramatically and the move from Bent Street heralded a new era in banking for local Holiday Coast members.
The new Wingham branch was the first of Holiday Coast’s branches to be developed under their “Branch of the Future” concept.
The new branch was designed to provide a welcoming, friendly and relaxed environment for members to do their banking.
“It feels warm and modern,” said branch manager Simon Brown.
Simon has been with the branch for the past six months and has been a local on and off for the past 20 years. He is also treasurer of the Wingham Chamber of Commerce.
He and customer service officer Matt Burnett, make up the Wingham team.
Matt is a familiar local and who will soon welcome the arrival of his second child.
Simon and Matt are on hand to deliver friendly, local service that recognises and treats each customer as an owner of the business and not a number.

“We are part of this community and appreciate the very things that matter for our members” said Simon.
“Holiday Coast have experienced continued success with consumers choosing us over the bigger banks.
“Being 100 per cent customer owned we are not governed by investors and support our communities in many ways.”
One of the ways HCCU supports the community is through the Holiday Coast Community Grants.
Since 2005, over 440 community organisations have been helped to complete more than 335 projects by providing in excess of $1,620,000 by way of cash and in-kind grants.
The most recent funding boost in Wingham was the donation of $3000 to Wingham Swimming Club for the purchase of new lane ropes last year.
Simon and Matt take an active role in the community and have been involved with the Wingham Akoostik Festival and the Christmas Street Carnival.
Holiday Coast Credit Union is located in shop 1, Wingham Plaza Shopping Centre. Phone 1300 365 7 24. Opening hours are Monday and Wednesday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Tuesdays 9.30am to 5pm.
