This season the new club committee consists of: president Mick Stinson, vice-president Brad Staff, secretary Adam Carney and treasurer Michael Roohan.
The club would like to thank John Eggins who was president for the last four years and acknowledge the dedication and enthusiasm that he brought to the role.
Also thank you to Steve Campbell who was club secretary for a number of years and carried out his role with great success.
First grade will be led again by captain Brad Staff and consists of the majority of last year’s premiership winning side. There are two newcomers: Daniel Barber, an all-rounder who played for Blacktown; and Nick Crisp, a leg spinner from Tasmania.
Scott Blanch and Andrew Cross will share the role of captain this year for second grade. The Kliendienst brothers, Rhyce and Jye, join Wingham which will strengthen both second and third grade.
Paul Kelly is captain of third grade and this side consists of many father and son combinations and is focused on building a strong junior base to move up the grades.
Cricket practice this week is today, Wednesday October 3 from 4pm and then after the school holidays will resume on Thursdays from 5pm. The first game of the season is this Saturday, October 6.
