"Great fun!"
"I loved it!"
These were typical comments from the audience after the performance of Isabella the Play at the Wingham Memorial Town Hall last Saturday afternoon.
An enthusiastic and responsive audience took park in the show - singing, boo-ing and signing leases.
A talented ensemble cast of local actors were backed up by the excellent Red Cedar Band and an afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.
This local play about a local pioneer, Isabella Mary Kelly, has been hugely supported by Wingham residents with almost 200 people attending the matinee.
It seemed very fitting then that one of our much loved local women, Joyce Skinner, should win not one but two prizes in the raffle.
Proceeds from the raffles and the tickets will go towards the Wingham Museum and also the newly formed Wingahm Town Hall Theatre Company to help pay for their own sound and lighting equipment.
If you missed out on Isabella the Play this time it is being performed at the Tuncurry Memorial Hall on November 8 - a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
Don't miss it!
