They will join more than 350 junior competitors taking part in the 31st Glowalman Junior tri series event.
"They are very excited," mum Nerida said.
"They have been looking forward to it for months."
Both Nate (8) and Laura (7) have been riding for four years and are members of the Wingham Pony Club.
They have gradually been attending events to build up their skills and indulge their love of riding.
The Tinonee Public School students ride every afternoon and have recently competed a St Clare's interschool competition.
Nate was crowned reserve champion and Laura came fourth in her event.
"The Glowalman will be a good test run to see how they are going," said Nerida.
Both will be riding new horses - Laura on Copy and Nate on Beauty.
"I'm not pushing them at all, they just love riding and catching up with friends."
There will be children coming from across the State but the campdraft community is a tight one.
Nate and Laura will get to ride with their peers and re-connect with friends made at other events.
They will also be joined by fellow school friends Kai Gregory and Jessica Cassels.
Both Nate and Laura plan to compete in all three campdrafts in the Glowalman series which begins in Nabiac on July 8.
The Manning Campdraft will take place on July 12 at the Wingham Showground.
