Veterans
THE veterans played a two man ambrose with 48 players.
Winners were Dave Andrews and Gordon Shanko with 63 nett. Runners up Syd Gilfillan and Jim Bradshow 64 nett. Peter Christie and Neville Hall followed on 65. NTP 3rd/12 Barry Miles, 7/16th Merve Marsden had the ultimate with a hole in one – well done.
Thursday chook run
THE winner was Ian Herd with 23 points from Scott Brown 21 and Barry Brown 20. Barry won the NTP on the third with Syd Gilfillan winning the seventh.
The LJ Hooker June umbrella will be going home with Craig Harrison with 84 points.
Saturday
SATURDAY had every weather condition imaginable. The day dawned cold and went on to be sunny then windy. The rain decided to fall, making it very miserable.
Hitting off in cold conditions the winner Phil Henlen posted a creditable 39 points to take out the Wingham Computers trophy.
A-grade nett was won by Geoff Blanch with 38 points from Josh Meldrum 37. B-grade nett Ashley Armstrong 38, runner-up Dave Irvine 36. C-grade evergreen Bob Yarnold 38 countback runner-up Alex Kees 38. NTP 1st/10th (Plaza Butcher's voucher) Geoff Blanch, club voucher 3/12 Greg Foy. 4th/13th All About Conveyancing Richard Dudgeon. Greg Foy was lucky on the 7th/16th winning the prized Bayview Seafood voucher, 9th/18s Bent on Food Reid Brown, the Caddies Restaurant voucher was won by Richard Dudgeon.
