The first third was all about settling into the game and establishing their ground.
A few good runs were made by Braithe Tubnor, Kyle Buddle, and Logan Holden.
Hawks put a few quick tries on the board before Liam Andrews made a try from dummy half a few metres out.
This gave the Tigers some confidence that they needed and began to throw the ball around. Hawks went in again but Braithe Tubnor was quick to return another try to Tigers.
During the second third, the ball was handed back and forth to each team and Hawks scored three more on the Tigers. This didn't stop Braithe Tubnor again, stepping through their defence and scoring another for the Tigers. Izayah Hughes, Hayden Turner and Mason Latimore worked hard on pushing up the field.
The last third was full of energy as Tigers chased the score. Hawks were again on the try line as Tigers continued to keep their heads up. Ty Yarnold and James Swierczynski made solid runs in to the Hawks defence, trying to push through.
As the ball was turned over a couple of times, Tigers held the Hawks out with great defence from Ty Yarnold, Kyle Buddle, Braithe Tubnor, Liam Andrews and Hayden Turner, pushing the Hawks over the side line a few times and not allowing them to go through for the rest of the game. Well done Tigers for a hard game. Hayden Turner received player of the match.
