Maggie Young's sell out production has become "bigger than Ben Hur," and Maggie is concerned there will be a line of people at the door hoping to gain entry.
Tickets sold out fast and Maggie has been inundated with phone calls ever since.
"One lady even offered to bring her own tables and chairs," Maggie said.
"Unfortunately we simply can't fit anyone else in."
The play features all locals in the roles and rehearsals will take place most evenings this week.
With so much interest in the play, Maggie laughs when she reflects back on her initial idea.
"I was asked 'what if you don't get anyone?'"
Maggie is now considering another performance.
"We will definitely do a matinee performance which will most likely be at Mount George."
Interest has been shown from other towns too with a phone call from Tuncurry prompting Maggie to think about taking the play on a great hall tour.
"The response has been just wonderful," Maggie said.
