Conman reported: A Wingham resident believes she was the victim of a travelling conman. After quoting $500 for driveway repairs, a man, who had an Irish accent, then tried to demand $2000 once the job was completed. The incident has been reported to the Travelling Conman Hotline on 1300 133 408.
Men's Shed: The young and the retired came together at the Wingham Men's Shed on Thursday morning.Twenty five children from Wingham Preschool paid a visit to the well-equipped workshop of the not for profit organisation. In small groups the children were shown the inner workings of the shed and introduced to the concept of making something from scratch.
Winter Fest: The Manning Winter Festival will be officially opened this Saturday (June 14) during Sinfonia Mid North Coast's 'A Farewell Tribute' orchestral concert at St John's Anglican Church, Taree at 2pm.
