Work: Council has begun road resurfacing works on Bent Street between Isabella and Farquhar Streets. The work is planned to continue until Friday (May 23), weather-permitting.
Gig: Local band The Trapps will play a gig at the top pub (Australian Hotel) on Friday May 23.
Tigers: The Tigers travelled to "the graveyard" at Old Bar to take on the Pirates on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates scored two late tries in opposite corners, but the Tigers held on to win 42-34.
Envirofair: The June long weekend sees this year’s Taree Envirofair once again being held in Taree Park, on Saturday June 7 and organisers are inviting applications from stallholders
Bulga: Locals and tourists were treated to a very special Sunday music session at the Elands Community Store when members of "Black Train" played. Hailing from Lismore, the band played Bent on Food on Saturday night then headed to Elands for an entertaining session on Sunday.
