Support for Wingham: THE announcement in Wednesday’s Manning River Times that Taree Leagues and Sports Club has applied for a $1.3m State government grant, and will lodge a DA for a grandstand and facility upgrade, has drawn a response from the chair of Wingham Sporting Complex Management Committee Mr Darrin Lewis as well as GTCC Committee chair Cr Alan Tickle.

Million paws: PET owners around NSW are once again planning to put their paws to the floor to fight animal cruelty for 21st annual RSPCA Million Paws Walk on May 18. The nearest walk will be at Taree Showground.
Apex reunion: PREPARATIONS are going well for the reunion of Wingham Apex Club. There has been a great response so far to the call for ex-Apexians to get in touch and rsvp for the reunion dinner on May 17. Final RSVP's are due May 10.
Meeting: The Committee organising celebrations of 150 years of Public Education in Wingham on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014 is meeting at the Wingham Brush School on Tuesday 13th May at 4pm.
