MOUNTAIN View Archers were grateful to be able to display and present their equipment on our stand at the recent Wingham Show. A busy day was had answering the many questions regarding our wonderful family sport with many positives indicating they may come along to our introductory evenings. During the afternoon some of our members were also able to conduct a demonstration shoot which was greatly viewed by the people wishing to further satisfy their interest of targets, bows and arrows and archery in general.

This week with the show now over it was full steam ahead to make ready our indoor hall for our continuing introductory to archery venue.

A special thanks to the few dedicated members who made this event possible with the emptying of our indoor hall for the show, manning our stand, then having to return all the equipment back inside making ready for our regular indoor shoot on the following Thursday.

Back to what we do best and what a near perfect performance from members who packed their swags and gear and headed over to Lake Glenbawn to contest yet another tough tournament against some of the best archers in our country. Brilliant weather over the two day event saw our members in respective divisions come onto the podium to collect their medals with the proud list being as follows: Owen Kirkman and Brandon Kirkman were in the best placed top10 shoot out for the Saturday, then we have the final positions overall for the complete sanctioned tournament, Owen Kirkman 1st, Brandon Kirkman 1st Julianne and Terry Elliot 2nd, Alanna and Mike Elvin 3rd, and just to top it off our club took out the overall collective team trophy. It just doesn't get any better than this for our relatively small club - family sport and brilliant marksmen and woman.

WHY not be instructed by some of the best every Thursday evening in the showground from 6pm. There is everything there to get you started, or just call in and have a coffee. If you require any further information please ring Owen on 6552 6163 or John on 6553 6018.
