Wingham Wrap: Tuesday's news in under five minutes

- Council workers planted a new Lone Pine Tree in Central Park on Tuesday. Two students from Wingham High School’s Modern History class then did the spade work with members of the RSL sub branch and extended community looking on.

- Greater Taree City Council is undertaking road resurfacing works starting this week. Included in the list of resurfacing works is Bent Street (Isabella Street to Farquhar Street) and Bulga Road (Murray Road to Wallaby Joe).

- The Cameron family of Marlee have announced they will be celebrating 160 years on the Marlee House property over the Easter weekend.

- THE ‘campaign 10,000’ for better and safer roads and bridges in the Manning Valley is well past the half way mark. There are now more than 200 petition hosts across the district with 60 just in Wingham.

- Celebrations continue for Wingham Cricket grade two and four after success at the grand final on the weekend.

- Swimming pool owners now have an additional 12 months before needing a pool compliance certificate required to sell or lease a property from April 29, 2015.
