"Cr Robyn Jenkins and I are delighted to have Brad Christensen on the Campaign Team, this is a critically important issue and we welcome support from all sectors of the Community. We welcome all other Councillors and members of our community to join this Campaign. If we all contribute a little we shall achieve a great deal," Cr Epov said.
"I am glad to join Robyn and Peter to do whatever we can to get our funding back for the area. All three of us are new to the job, but from what I've seen thus far we are all working in the one direction on Council and trying to be proactive and move this great region forward to where it should be regarded on the coast, as a town that people want to visit and live," Cr Christiansen said:
"Our roads are a major issue and have been for a long time, we are in the process of addressing this but without major funding from Federal and State Governments, we will never upgrade and or even maintain our road network because it is such a massive area.
"For us to get our 10,000 signatures in 21 days will say to the bodies in Canberra that we as a community are fair dinkum about this issue."
Cr Epov said the momentum is starting to build on the campaign. "To date we have over 90 hosts for the Petition Campaign, and that number will double in the next four days. Our Petition hosts are receiving a very favourable response from their customers and clients and it seems as if the entire community wants to support this initiative," he said.
"But we still need more volunteers, business and merchants to come forward to host Petitions and to collect signatures; I am hoping that this Campaign will unite our community so that we can achieve a range of beneficial outcomes."
