Wingham started well with opener Hayden Essery scoring 41 and Hudson Bird 14 before the tight accurate bowling from Old Bar combined with some excellent catching produced a batting collapse. Five wickets fell in the space of four overs with the addition of just 11 runs, leaving Wingham at a precarious seven wickets down for 82 runs. But, Daniel Periera 22 retired, Cooper Staff one retired, Blake Thompson 16 not out and Danny Bisby three not out, came to the rescue and batted out the remaining overs without losing a further wicket to finish the innings on 130 runs.
With time remaining, Wingham took to the field and good bowling combined with enthusiastic fielding produced three wickets in nine overs, leaving Old Bar at 3/19 runs at the close of play. Wickets takers were Hayden 2/0 and Blake 1/1.
