THE Young Achiever of The Year Award is given to young people who have shown above average performance in academic, sporting and or community endeavour. Usually these people have represented their school, sporting organisation or Wingham Community in their chosen field or a combination of several events. These persons are known locally for the goodwill they have brought to the community.
In 2014 the Rotary Board had such difficulty in choosing a recipient that it was decided to recognise two young people for their contribution to our community.
