The team of Phill Malone, Justin Costa, Scott Hatton and Greg Cuttance now go to the final after their 3-shot win over Dally and Mark Hammond together with Peter Holden and David O'Donnell.
Phill's team had a handy lead midway into the encounter and held on with the final score being 20-17.
They now play against the team of Steve Matheson on Sunday at 2pm.
PENNANT IN-HOUSE TRIAL
On Saturday the final day for the selectors to finalise their teams for the coming season was held.
Tom Moore's team played out a draw with that of Steve Matheson's with a score of 22 apiece - both being 3 grade.
Col Watson's team (3 grade) defeated Greg Bartlett's team (6 grade) 22-12.
Glen Dennes and his 6 grade defeated Dally Hammond's crew 27-17.
WEDNESDAY - 'Dad's Army'
The 'organisers' did a stirling job by matching up the teams on the three rinks of triples by ending with a +5 result on each.
This event will take place again on Wednesday with the bonus being a free meal.
This Saturday is an 'open' event, mufti attire.
