General manager of Manning Valley Honday, Nick Brooks, presented Manning Valley Push for Palliative a cheque for $4317 on behalf of the Honda Foundation.
Mr Brooks said the Honda Foundation was created in 1992 to assist organisations like Manning Valley Push for Palliative that are focused on helping others.
The foundation is funded by contributions from Honda Australia and more than 100 dealerships across the country. For every new Honda vehicle sold in Australia, the local dealership donates $5 and Honda Australia donates $10, taking the total to $15. More than $10 million has so far been donated to help empower disadvantaged Australians.
Manning Valley Push for Palliative president, Judy Hollingworth thanked the Honda Foundation for its generous grant.
“This will assist people needing palliative care by helping provide vital equipment and services that they may otherwise be unable to access,” she said.
