There is plenty of golf coming up:
- October 21 – 2B Multiplier stableford for the Wingham Beef Exports trophies.
- Sunday October 22 – club AGM.
- October 28 – 18-hole stableford – the lefties versus the righties for the John Hynes Trophy.
- October 29 – Rotary Charity Ambrose 18 holes.
- November 4 – Taree Toyoto Monthly Mug/Medal with long drives in conjunction.
On Tuesday October 10, a memorial day was held for Jenny Homewood with a good field participating with visitors from surounding the area playing. The winners were Beth Braham and Paula Livermore from Tallwoods with 49pts, r/up Pat Whiteley and Dot Clarke 48. Third was Sue Bartz and Volda Humphries 46, fourth Noelene Nelson and Marge Earley 45. The nearest the pin winners were on the third D. Polley, Dawn Moylan, Wendy Booker, Harrington Waters and on the seventh D. Polley, B. Bisby, V. Humphries.
On Wednesday October 11, the veterans played a stableford sponsored by McDonalds Taree. This was a charity day for Ronald McDonald House. There were 40 starters and the winners were Ken Malpass 47pts, Terry Morris 44pts, Allen Cullen 42. The NTP winners were on the 3rd/12th S. Lemon, and on the 7th/16th Gary Stackman.
On Wednesday October 11 the ambrose saw the NRMA team with captain Bob Polley the winners, next was Chequered Bobcats Steve Welsh, third was Family Ties Brian Hanney. There were 35 players.
The LJ Hooker competition on October 12 saw Richard Bridges the winner with 25 pts, next was Graham Steel 22, Phil Nelson 21, Graham Mansfield 20c/b, Dennis Bloomfield 20c/b, Rod Brown 20. Nev Blanch won the NTP on the third, Paul Muir on the seventh.
On October 13, Noeline Nelson was the winner with Pat Whiteley the r/up, balls went to L. Steel, P. Marcus, Deb Stewart and Pat Whiteley won the nearest the pin.
October 14 was a stableford for the Wingham Beef Exports Trophy. The winner was sweet swinging Rex White with 41pts. A grade was won by Glenn Bowhan 38, r/up Richard Clark 27, B. Grade John Turner 39c/b r/up Syd Gilfillan 39.
