More than 40 competitors are expected to take to the range with entrants coming from the Manning, Hunter and Lismore areas.
A variety of target presentations will give competitors different heights and angles to work with.
Club secretary Phil Baker tipped Craig Dargan to be a strong competitor on the day following a successful outing at a competition in Gunnedah.
“He’s one of the hot shots to win this weekend,” he said.
The event was originally slated for October 8 but was postponed due to conflicts with other clay shooting events.
