Victoria Lee, 2016 Showgirl, put the event together over a few short weeks, with the help of her family.
The event was an opportunity for people to meet this year’s showgirl entrants and to sample local produce.
The dinner, held on the Friday night of the show, was attended by 75 people including federal member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie and member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead.
The dinner included the official opening of the new multi-purpose cattle pavilion by the show society.
The success of the event indicated that the dinner, hosted by the current showgirl, will become a feature event in future years.
Victoria Lee said she has high hopes the event will continue to grow, and attract attendees from outside of the show circuit.
“We would like to thank all the sponsors of the night and invite your continued support in future years. These kinds of events would be impossible without community support, so thank you for getting involved,” she said.
