At home
On Thursday September 21 the first round of the Minor Singles event was played. Lesley Burnell-Jones defeated Coral Lockrey 25/14. Lesley proved to be more match-fit than Coral in this match. It’s pleasing to see you are back playing bowls again, Coral, after your long convalescence. Congratulations to both players on the game played.

Special mention
On Wed September 20, 10 lady bowlers travelled to Gloucester for a visit and a social game of bowls. The weather was perfect, and a beautiful morning tea was served with a wonderful lunch.
The Gloucester and Wingham ladies were all mixed in together to play a triples event where much fun and laughter was had by all. Everyone was a winner!
We renewed old friendships and made some new ones to make this a fun filled day.
See you on the green.
