Fires at Belbora and Tipperary are listed as ‘out of control’, by the NSW Rural Fire Service on Sunday, September 24.

The fire on Belbora Creek Road has burnt 33 hectares while the Afflecks Road, Tipperary fire has burnt 31 hectares.

The bush fire on the Lakes Way at Tuncurry is listed as under control. It covered an area of 2538 hectares.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service is tending to a fire at Old Inn Road, Bulahdelah which has burnt 1042 hectares and is under control.

A total fire ban is in place across the North Coast of NSW, including the MidCoast Council area.

The RFS advises in a total fire ban no fire may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended. This includes incinerators and barbecues which burn solid fuel, e.g. wood, charcoal or heat beads.
