On Saturday August 19 a stoke round will be played for the Wingham Computers trophy, and on August 26 the Wingham Cellars trophy will be played for in a stableford event.
On Tuesday August 8 the ladies played for the Ann Palmer and Pat Marcus trophies in a two-player aggregate stableford event. The winners were Denise Polley and Connie Gates, the runnersup were Volda Humphries and Noelene Nelson. The nearest the pin winners were on the third for Division One Denise Polley, Division Two Gay Wagener, Division Three Volda Humphries, and on the seventh Division One Katrina Greenaway, Division Three Sharon Juozaitis. Ball Winners were T. Wootton, S. Juozaitis, B. Hodgson, S. McKenna, K. Greenaway, N. Smith, R. Dudgeon, and G. Wagener.
On Wednesday August 9 the veterans played for the Taree Challenge trophy. There were 55 players, and the winner was Phil Anderson 40pts. Next was Geoff Swaffield 39, Steve Wheatley 38. Wingham won the challenge.
On Thursday August 10, 31 players contested the LJ Hooper chook run. Jim Bradshaw was the winner with 29pts, followed by Ken Squires, 19c/b, Tom Hadwell 19c/b, Ian Scarr 19, Gary Sattler 18c/b. Pat Whiteley was the winner of the NTP on the third and Ian Scarr won the seventh.
On Friday August 11 the Ladies played a stroke event. The winner was Marcia Fowler, runnerup Belinda Tonkin, balls were won by R. Dudgeon, R. Woodward, and Cheryl Andrews. Sharon Juozaitis was the winner of the nearest the pin.
On Saturday August 12 play was for the Schweppes Trophies. The placings were a real family affair with Denise and Bob Polley the winners, runners up Scott Blanch and Nev Blanch, and third Geoff Swaffield and Rod Brown. The sharp shooters winning the NTP were on the 1st/10th Wingham Plaza Butchers Paul Muir, 3rd/12th Wingham Remedial Massage Katrina Greenaway, 4th/13th Dave Elliott, 7th/16th Bayview Seafood Bob Polley, 9th/18th Bent on Food Glenn Porter. Ball winners were R. Wilson, B. Sullivan, C. Darby, C. Moore, S. Abbott, C. Harrison, K. Greenaway, T. Abbott, P. Jirman, M. Kirkwood, A. Beattie, C. Beattie.
